two year old conversations

In the car on the way home.

Tyrus: "I WANT FRUIT SNACKS!"

Mom; "It is 9:00 Tyrus you can have some grapes when we get home but no fruit snacks."

Tyrus: (Very Whiny)"I want fruit snacks mom!"

Mom: "I am sorry Ty all you may have is grapes."

Tyrus: (sounding very grown up and mater-of-fact)"No grapes, just fruit snacks."

Mom: "Tyrus"

Tyrus: "Dad, Ty wants fruit snacks!!!"

Mom and Dad look at each other holding back giggles

Dad: "Tyrus, you may have grapes."

Tyrus: "Ty have grapes"

Situation resolved. We had grapes when we got home.

I love having full conversations with my son. It is a highlight of my life.
