Yesterday I found a man in my yard. For whatever reason I was not startled by him. I waved out the window and he began to ask about our old water heater in the yard. I went out to talk with him. He wanted to know what was wrong with it. After a while I got the feeling he really wanted the old thing. He told me that he was a pipe fitter(I assumed he was out of work)and that he could REALLY use it, if he could fix it. I told him it was all his. The man couldn't finish a sentence in his excitement. He came by today with a cart attached to his bike to pick it up. It did not fit on his cart but he made it work somehow.
I have seen a lot of garbage picking in my day but until you live on a highway, well I just can't explain it. We have sold two vans that sat in our driveway so long that strangers just pulled right up and asked if they could buy them from us. Seriously, who pays attention to random vehicles to see if they are ever moved? I am just glad that I could bless someones day. I just pray he isn't cursed by the thing tomorrow when he tries to clean it out and hook it up. Good luck Ken!
