Today Tyrus ans I had a few first moments together. I wish I had a picture to share with you for the first first but I don't. So sad. I will have to recreate the moment tomorrow.
When Ty got up today I went to dress him and he chimed in with his own ideas of what he wanted to wear so I let him go for it. He said he wanted to wear his new green shorts. I have no idea where he came up with this idea. I have not bought him new shorts since he was, well I don't remember. Thanks to my very generous brother and sister-in-law we have some awesome hand-me-downs. So, I opened his drawer of shorts and he rifled through three pairs of green shots and snatched up a pair of tan shorts, go figure. Then we went to the closet and he picked out a spider man shirt. Not bad. I would not put the two pieces together but I did take him out in public with me in the outfit. So today Tyrus dressed himself.
Later in the day Tyrus got a little grumpy so I decided to feed him his lunch a little early and put him to bed. Well, long story sort, he went to bed hungry. I have never put him to bed hungry before. He is usually a very good eater and even when he doesn't seem interested I can get him to eat most anything. After he threw up the one bite I got in his mouth I decided to quit. He woke up two hours later and was very hungry and willing to eat the lunch I had prepared for him.
He did so well with his lunch I decided to take him to the local spray park. I loaded up the boys and braved the crowds to get out of the house. I sat under a tree while Ty went off all by himself to play. He kept coming back to check on me and I never took my eyes off of him. He even came over to me a couple of times with his fists clinched. He had brought some water over for me, how sweet. He rubbed it all over my legs for me, very refreshing.
So that was my day. Tyrus dressed himself, threw a fit like nothing I have seen him do before and then he redeemed himself by going to the park and playing with a bunch of strangers. It is a good thing the bad comes with the good.
